The Jennifer Ward Memorial Fund was begun in the spring of 2005 in memory of Jen
Ward, a teacher at St. Ann's Catholic School in Wildwood, NJ. The fund will establish a
scholarship every year for a student from St. Ann's to attend Wildwood Catholic High
School, as well as contribute to other areas of education and extracurricular activities that
Jen was involved with at St. Ann's. Details of the scholarship fund and its criteria will be
forthcoming shortly.
"Miss Ward" taught math, computers, and cheerleading to the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade,
and served as a cheerleading coach. She was very focused on helping her students
achieve, and took a personal interest and responsibility in helping every child reach their
potential. Her commitment to her kids will live on in the fund named after her, and it is our
hope that the children of St. Ann's will continue to benefit from the good will of Miss Ward,
her family, her friends, and the entire St. Ann's community. Thank you for helping to make
this fund a reality for all of us involved, and enabling us to keep Jen's hope of making a
difference in a child's life live on in the fund that bears her name.
Jerry and Gerry Ward presented Nicholas Long with the first annual Jennifer Ward
Memorial Scholarship, a $1,000 scholarship to Wildwood Catholic High School. Nicholas
was chosen from a highly competitive group of applicants of St. Ann's students who are
continuing their education at Wildwood Catholic. Congratulations to Nicholas, and best of
luck at Wildwood Catholic.
